Karate was originally developed in the Ryukyu Kingdom, Japan, and is in its current form, is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open-hand techniques such as knife-hands, spear-hands and palm-heel!

Muay Thai is another one of the pillars of Zen Do Kai, and we offer training and instruction in Kickboxing.
Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports and a form of boxing based on kicking and punching. We offer instruction in Kickboxing as a form of fitness training and self-defence.

Self Defence are a grouping of countermeasures that involve defending your health and well-being from harm. Our general Self Defence training is based on the principles of Zen Do Kai which we have effectively incorporated into our training.
It is very popular with new members.

Our Weapons Training is offered for Wooden Weapons and the Katana Sword.
We believe that Weapons Training can offer great depth in your training for improving your Martial Arts combat and Self Defence skills because they use the same skills needed in unarmed combat as weapons are quite often used as an extension of the arm providing more reach.
