We have all been practitioners of Zen Do Kai, and COVID19 has allowed us the opportunities to take stock of where we are headed in our martial arts journeys and refocus on what is important. This, the rebirth of the original Lords Dojo, is our journey and we are excited for you and welcome you to be a part of that journey!
Our journey started with Bob Jones and the Zen Do Kai martial arts style which later incorporated Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Eskrima in the 80's, and we are grateful to him for his tutelage, his guidance and his iron-clad training methodologies, that we now are walking the path!
Along the way, one man was at the forefront of the journey to bring Zen Do Kai to Adelaide!
That one man was Kyoshi Ed Skipter who from humble beginnings in the 70's, saw the vision of Zen Do Kai, and believed in it so much that when Bob Jones brought it to Adelaide, and started that first club in Hindley Street, Adelaide, Kyoshi Skipter who used to travel to Melbourne to train with Bob Jones, took over the Hindley Street dojo when he became a Brown Belt, and that dojo later became the first iteration of Lord's Dojo!
Dedicated and loyal followers of Kyoshi Skipter included Richard White, who met Kyoshi Skipter and became Richard's Head Instructor in 1983!
And both enlightened souls embarked of an incredible teacher-student journey into the realms of Zen Do Kai, and when Kyoshi Skipter passed away in June 2021, Richard wanted to continue his legacy, his vision, and his dream of Lords Dojo!
Welcome to the 2nd iteration and rebirth of the original Lords Dojo!
